Vintage Ultra Rare First Issue Lady Penelope Comic Magazine Issue No. 1 22nd January 1966 - Ultra Rare Item. Released by Century 21 Publications on January 22nd 1966 and is the very first issue number 1 of their weekly series of the Lady Penelope Comic priced at 7D. Lady Penelope was a British weekly comic for girls which ran from 1966 to 1969. The titular character was based on Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, the secret agent seen in the television series Thunderbirds. Most of the other strips in the comic were also based on popular television shows of the era. The comic is in very good condition over all, which is amazing when you consider it is now 52 years old. The comic features full colour and mono strip stories, information and quizzes featuring our favorite International Rescue London Agent Lady Penelope in her exciting adventures plus The Man From UNCLE, Bewitched, Beverley Hillbillies, Marina and much much more. The front and back pages are still nice and clean and bright & colourful but have suffered some minor wear and tear along the edges. Internally all pages are in very good condition with only minor wear being on the edges. A wonderful example of a very very very ultra rare vintage comic from yesteryear. A fantastic chance to own a really lovely highly collectable comic from 52 years ago. Comes bagged and boarded but does not include the fee gift.
