Vintage Smiths Earth V Mars Novelty Pocket Watch - In Working Condition - Ultra Rare. Not sure when this novelty pocket watch was produced, and I can't seem to find any information on it at all. I can only tell you that it was part of a collection of Sci-Fi merchandise that we bought from an elderly lady, whose late husband was an avid collector of rare TV themed merchandise and had been collecting merchandise since the 1950's. Unfortunately the lady had no idea about any of the items, or where they came from or when they became part of the collection. So we will have to leave this to you to decide.  This pocket watch features an image of a Flash Gordon style character with an image of a Martian shooting a Ray Gun and has Earth V Mars printed around the images in red with a black background. The watch is 50mms in diameter and has a chrome case and is operated by a winding mechanism at the top which also adjusts the hands when pressed and turned. A handle is attached to the top of the watch to attach to a pocket chain. The watch is in working condition and you can hear the watch ticking when the watch is wound. Despite having no history on this item, it is still a truly wonderful ultra rare vintage item from one of many sci-fi films or programs from back in the day.
