DESCRIPTION:

Up for sale is a genuine vintage Ronson Standard automatic pocket petrol lighter, complete with its original black textured leather protective slipcase. Stamped on the base with British Patent number 621570, this iconic post-war piece was manufactured in England.
Condition Report:
  • Mechanism: Excellent mechanical condition. The thumb lever moves smoothly and freely, lifting the snuffer cap exactly as it should.
  • Flint/Spark: The lighter is currently missing a flint. The flint tube is open and clear, ready for a standard replacement flint and spring to be inserted.
  • Cosmetics: Shows honest, beautiful vintage character. The chrome-plated body features a classic engine-turned pattern with a blank cartouche (shield), meaning it was never custom-engraved. There is some minor green verdigris/surface corrosion along the lower casing seams and top deck typical of age, which can be cleaned up if desired.
  • Pouch: The original black leather slipcase is included. The leather remains supple, the stitching is intact, and the snap button functions perfectly.
This is a fantastic addition to any tobacciana collection or a perfect restoration project to bring a classic mid-century lighter back into daily use.
