Vintage Sarome Automatic Lighter - Souvenir Ireland Map Design - 1950s/60s Japan - Good Condition

DESCRIPTION:

Up for sale is a genuine vintage Sarome automatic pocket lighter, featuring a classic souvenir map of Ireland graphic on the front. The base is stamped with the official stylized "SF" logo and reads: "AUTOMATIC LIGHTER / SAROME PRODUCTS".
Manufactured in Tokyo, Japan during the post-WWII golden era of pocket lighters, these pieces were highly popular duty-free and airport travel souvenirs.
CONDITION REPORT:
  • Mechanical: Excellent mechanical shape. The automatic arm mechanism snaps open strongly, and the flint wheel spins completely freely with zero jamming.
  • Flint/Fuel: The lighter is currently sold empty (no flint or fuel included). It features a standard dual-screw base for easy DIY replacement of the flint and refueling.
  • Cosmetics: Shows authentic vintage character and patina. The textured black wrap is fully intact. The metal body shows minor surface oxidation and wear consistent with age, and the enamel map graphic has some surface loss/fading as pictured.
  • Please review all photos closely for exact cosmetic details.
A wonderful piece of post-war tobacco americana/tobacciana and a perfect addition for any vintage lighter collector or Irish memorabilia enthusiast.
SHIPPING & HANDLING:
Will be shipped securely packaged via standard tracked mail. Because it contains no fluid, it is 100% safe and legal to post.
