Vintage 1950's /1960's Chad Mary Lou Battery Operated Electric Washing Machine And Spin Dryer Valley - Fully Working In The Original Box. Released by Chad Vally in the 1950's/1960's as part of their series of Mary Lou Electronic Appliances. This fantastic Mary Lou Battery Operated Electric Washing Machine And Spin Dryer measures 10 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches long by 8 inches wide, it is battery operated using two 1.5 volt batteries that drive the motor which turns the washing basket. There are two settings, one to wash, and one to spin dry, operated by tuning a switch. Their is also a drain pipe on the side, which you pull out to drain the water after the wash is complete. The iteml is in very good full working condition, which is amazing considering its age, it has been fully tested and operates perfectly at both settings. The outside body is in very good condition with no scratches or damage. The top silver panel has some light rust, which was common on these toys where water has splashed, the paintwork on the lip is fantastic with no damage, and the lid is also in very good condition without any damage. Some minor paint loss to the inner spin basket, but otherwise fantastic. Comes in the original box from the 1960's which is in very good condition, but does have some shelf wear which is mainly on the edges and some dust marks and a few minor scuffs.
