The Story of the Motor Car A Ladybird 'Achievements' Book. A very very good copy of the fantastic Ladybird Book The Story Of The Motor Car from 1962. This book is in nr mint condition overhaul, which is amazing when you consider it is now 53 years old, the front and back covers are nice clean and bright, with the only signs of any shelf wear is on the very tips of the edges. The spline is also in excellent condition again with the only wear being on the very tips of the edges. Internally the book is in mint condition, all 52 pages are present and correct, they are all clean and bright without any form of markings or damage on any page. This book tells the story of the motor car from the first clumsy steam and petrol-driven road vehicles to the modern, speedy, comfortable and mass produced models. Included in the magnificent illustrations by Robert Ayton are such well loved cars as the early Rolls Royce 'Silver Ghost', the bull nosed Morris, the first Austin Seven, an early Bentley, Malcolm Campbell's Bluebird' and John Cobb's 'Railton Special'. A truly wonderful example of a vintage Ladybird Book from 1962. All Orders received before 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays are dispatched the same day.
