The Eagle Book Of Trains Hardback Book 1955. (No Dust Jacket) Released by Hulton Press in 1955 Second Revised Edition, this fantastic Eagle Book of Trains is from the age of steam, just as the alternatives to steam were beginning to appear. Underground and overground, through tunnels, up mountains - all aspects of the railway systems are covered, with eight plates in colour showing cutaway diagrams. The Flying Scotsman, No. 4475, is shown in a 1928 photograph along with many other famous locomotives. The book is in very very good condition over all, which is amazing considering it is now over 63 years old. The front and back covers are nice clean and bright with no visual signs of any wear. The spline is also in near perfect condition, again with no visual signs of any wear. The dust cover is also in very good condition, with only some minor signs of wear on the edge tips. Internally the book is in near mint condition all 192 pages are present and attached, they are clean and bright without any signs of damage or wear or writing on any page. The book has not been price clipped, it still shows the original purchase price of 10/6 on the bottom corner of the inside flap of the dust cover.
