Antique Black Forest Carved Wood Figural Tobacco Jar Humidor Old Fisher Man With Pipe & Removable Lid 11" Tall - Fantastic Condition. Up for sale is a fantastic, antique hand-carved wooden figural tobacco jar / humidor. The piece features an incredibly detailed Alpine-style bust of an elderly man of fisherman clenching a smoking pipe. The top portion of the hat acts as a removable lid, opening to reveal a clean, bare wood hollowed-out interior traditionally used for loose tobacco storage. It shows beautiful, authentic hand-chisel marks and a rich, deep dark patina. The items measures in at a Height of 11 inches (approx. 28 cm) and an approximate with of 4.5 inches (approx 11.5 cm). Excellent antique condition. Crucially, the delicate pipe in the mouth and the feather extension on the hat are fully intact with no breaks, chips, or repairs—which is rare for these functional, handled pieces.
