In 1975 Palitoy in conjunction with Mego products, released there series of Space 1999 Action Figure lines, to tie in with the smash Hit television programme. Although the figures was fairly successful, they run did not last very long, due to the programme being axed buy ITV. The original Mego figures are now very hard to find and very very expensive. In 2004 Figures Toy Company began to re issued the figures based on the original Mego figure range.
