Blonde and 21, Alan is the astronaut responsible for Thunderbird 3, but he also shares terms of monthly duty on the space station Thunderbird 5, with his brother John. Alan sees his work at International Rescue as a vital service to mankind. However he is also a bit of a practical joker and somewhat reckless. At Colorado University, he built a rocket which went of course, shattering every window in the building. Jeff decided that astronaut training would be the only thing that would give Alan a sense of responsibillity, and Alan's abillity in space is nothing less than outstanding.
