Released by Product Enterprise in 2003 as part of there Gerry Andersons Diecast Metal Collectors Model Replicas. The year is 1980, Earth is under threat from an alien race intent on using human organs to replenish their sterile, dying race. S.H.A.D.O (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation) secretly operating from beneath a working film studio and led by Commander Ed Straker, leads the battle against the alien menace. The UFO Interceptor is Earths first line of defence, these space craft are launched from S.H.A.D.O Moonbase, their task to destroy any UFO before it enters Earths atmosphere. Single pilot craft, each Interceptor is highly manoeuvrable and armed with one single but deadly missile. This fantastic 7 inch Diecast Metal model is a highly detailed replica of the UFO Interceptor and is a collectors edition. The set includes a UFO Flying Saucer detailed collectors model. Comes in the original box with Star Chart base and Background. Some minor damage to the edges of the box and a small split to the window caused by the way it was stored, but has been neatly repaired with clear tape. Shop Stock Room Find. Discovered in the store room of a closing down shop with a whole host of other models from a similar era.
