Released By Bradford Exchange in 1993 marking the 28th anniversary of the historic Gemini 4 mission when Edward H White II became the first American to walk in space. This fantastic collectors plate comes complete with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity . Around the edge of plate it says : "EDWARD H WHITE II 1ST AMERICAN SPACE WALK" and on the bottom edge it says: "GEMINI 4 - JUNE 3-7, 1965. The painting by Robert Schaar is of the Eddie White space walking from his Gemini 4 Space Capsule. On the back of the plate it has the "Plate No. 11438A In the Limited Edition of "THE MARCH TOWARDS DESTINY" by Robert Schaar, second issue in the America's triumph in Space collection which is produced on hard-fire porcelain in an edition limited to a maximum of 95 firing days..." This plate is officially listed for trading on the Bradford Exchange. The Certificate also caries the same Limited Edition number as printed on the back of the plate, and on the back of the certificate it gives historical information about the Gemini 4 mission.
